Nira looked up as she heard Mal arrive. "She's not doing to well right now...she's lost a lot of blood and her scales are dimming. It's not a good sign..."
I'm on my way. tarnique said quickly, and severed the connection.

Cari turned back to the others, slightly startled by Mal's sudden presence. "Tarnique, Uunik Aura's kitt, is on his way." She explained.
Mal nodded. "Good."

Nira looked slightly bemused by this little conversation, not fully understanding who Tarnique was yet. She was focused completely on Marvanth, leaving her hardly any mind to pay attention to what was going on.
Tarnique explained to Aura quikcly as he left, trotting quickly towards the surface as only a landwalker could. His Gyls master folowed along behind, flying fast to keep up with the young Noka. He was an onlder Noka, with a grey sort of pelt that was turning white from age. Once it might have been dark black.

Cari looked around anxiously. "I know he will come quickly, but still... How is Marvanth? Can she just wait a little longer?" She questioned worriedly.
Mal buried her face against Leath's warm hide. She wanted to go home so badly now... There weren't fights like this there... Then again, that Swab... It had been horrible, injuring many, including Weyrwoman Kaliya. She wondered how she was doing.

Nira shook her head. "I don't know. Her scales are even dimmer now, so it could go either way..." She dropped her gaze down to Marvanth, hearing her breathing grow more faint.
Tarnique ran ever more quickly, racing through the Lower Caverns now, weaving between confused people who stared at the passing Nokas. Slow down, Tarnique. Old flyers can't keep up with young Lanwalkers. He gave no answer to his master, but slowed his steps only slightly.

Cari, starting to get a bit panicky, kneeled by Marvanth's head. Marvanth, hang on. Tarnique, a noka, is coming to help you. When you are healed, you can rest. I know you must be tired.... She said softly.
Traire looked around. You need to hurry. Abuto Marvanth can't hold out longer. She told her brother.

The mirror abuto flicked her ears as if listening, but made no other move, her mind lost in the shadows of itself. Nira watched sadly, stroking the gray, non reflecting scales. Jaya hummed again in her ear, but her bonded was focusing on the unconcious Marvanth.
Here. We're here. Tarnique called, bursting out of the Lower Caverns with the old flyer, shouts of surprise and anger echoing after them. He skidded to a rough stop near Traire, asessing the situation quickly. The Gyls master landed next to them, dwarfed in size. He was huffing hard, and his wings were drooping slightly.

Cari looked at Tarnique in relief. "Hurry, please!" She said, a bit desperate. She liked Marvanth... A lot. She also liked Nira (She had once told Marvanth she admired Nira, hadn't she?), and didn't want the other trainer upset.

Tarnique nodded and dipped his head to sniff gently at Marvanth's wounds while sending a tendril of thought into Ote. The Gyls master did the same, and they settled themselves near her tail, where it was much more serious. The older Noka lead the way, intructing Tarnique through private thought about what he should do. The landwalker was still only a young apprentice at the healing arts. Blue and green eyes glazed over, and they began to heal the ragged mark.
Nira watched in horror and amazment as the threads of skin, scales limping hanging on, connected and healed themselves. She touched Marvanth's head gently as she spasmed again, though the Nokas didn't take much notice. The skin was sown together, leaving a large bald spot on her tail, barren of feathers and scales. They'd need to grow back on their own.

Cari pulled a jar out of her bag. "Here. If you rub this on the bald patch twice a day, the feathers and scales will grow back sooner." She explained, holding the jar out to Nira. How often had Miran gotten herself in trouble and had to grow back her hide? A lot. Poor Gina got on the queen's bad side sometimes, too, and received injuries.

Nira shook her head. "I don't think she'll want it. She has her pride, just as any Abuto does." Her voice wasn't so choked now, as she craddled Marvanth's head, fingers resting on the scabbed over marks that had cut through the scales.
Tarnique and his master stepped back a few mintues later. Her tail wound has been mended, and the bleeding has stopped. Her wounds on her head must heal on their own. We don't know enough about an Abuto's body to even dare try and heal something there, and cause harm by mistake. The old Gyls master informed everyone, looking tired as he looked at the mirror. A bit of shine had returned to the scales, and her breathing wasn't so shallow and faint.
Marvanth will be tried for sometime as she regains blood, but she may regress. Call us again if she starts to have tremors or more spasms. Tarnique added, laying and bowing his head, eyes closed.

Thank you, Tarnique. Without you, and your Gyls master, Marvanth wouldn't have made it. She curtseyed to the two nokas. "If you need to rest, you could rest in my room." She offered.
Mal looked at Nira and Marvanth. "Do you need help getting her to your room?" She asked. Leath peered over her Mine's head at the abuto.

Nira gave a small smile. "Yes, I think I do need help." She reached her arms under Marvanth's forelegs again, and another tear dripped down her cheek.
"Thank you, Nokas." She murmered, hefting the non responsive Abuto into her arms as best she could. Jaya left her shoulder, settling on Cari's, as Glace setlled on Traire's head, Uen took to circling above them, and Ren trotted off towards their room.

Leath laid down again, and Mal went over, picking up what remained on the ground of Marvanth. "Okay... Where is your room, anyways?"
Cari smiled at Jaya. "Hello there. You're lucky Miran isn't here, or she would get jealous." She stated. Traire attempted to see Glace, but, upon failing, just stood there.

The Ice inched her way down Traire's muzzle somewaht to peer into one of her blue eyes, cheeping a little hello.
Nira nodded her head off to one side of the weyrbowl. "We have a room just a little ways off the ground. I think it might have been a healers once. There were a bunch of herbs laying around." She was rambling out of pure relief.
Tarnique and the gyls master lay side by side on the grass, talking privatly over what had happened, and about other things as they regained their strength. Reaching into Ote was demanding on the Noka.
