Lunth suddenly lifted her head, bugling a ringing challenge to the male dragons of the Weyr. She flared out her wings, hide brilliantly bright with the surrounding shades, another challenge sounding from her muzzle.
Andy stared wide-eyed at her dragon, remembering the particular Lesson that explained flights.
With another cry, Lunth pushed herself away from the ground, winging her way toward the Feeding Paddocks and the frenzied animals within.
As the Mirror came down on a screaming stallion, Andy pushed herself to the fore of her bondeds mind, shouting firmly. Blood only, Lunth! Blood only!
The Mirror screeched in rage, reaching down to tear a strip of meat off the stallion's flank. Blood only! demanded the rider once again. The same reaction came from this interference but the dragoness reluctantly moved her head to the stallion's neck.
She cried out again as she shot herself at another mare. She went to rip into her rump, her Mine asserting herself once more. Blood ONLY!
Lunth roared in fury, but obediently put her fangs to the mare's neck. She suddenly stood rigid, staring skyward, blood dripping from her muzzle as her eyes swirled with intense hues.
The Mirror tensed, and just as soon was soaring through the air like she was breaking away from her shackles.
Andy stood in her Weyr, staring blankly into the sky as she swayed, her mind blended with her Mirror's.
The flight had begun.

The lone Lava dragon of the weyr lifted his head from his forepaws when he heard the lovely queen's challenge. Without any warning to his rider, who was idly sitting against him, Norkth stood, and pushed himself free of the ground, chasing after the glorious Mirror, nearly indescernable against the sky. E'vin quickly gained his feet, staring sadly after his bonded, and feeling the irresistable pull of the Flight. He didn't know where his feet led him, but soon he found himself pushing open the door to Andy's weyr, and striding over to stand next to her.
Norkth rumbled lovingly to Lunth, his bright hide rivaling hers in the sunlight.
Rynkth turned his head, suddenly stiff beneath E'ro. Alarmed, he followed the Dusks gaze, finding himself staring at Lunth in all her beauty. He was hit with a wave of the Mirrors rampant emotions, joined with his own bondeds. Rynkth had enough sense to drop him off at their weyr before winging off after the Mirror, creeling his love high into the winds. Just like E'vin, E'ro found himself moving towards Andy's weyr, accompanied by a whining Loner, and an excited Quin.

The stonework from his weyr bulged back to her his voice brassy and distant. His rider P'then looked at his dragon. "Rimth? What's going on?... Oh, she's rising already?!" P'then realized seeing Rimth looking straineously outside and his mental effort trying to push himself away from the ledge. The stonework was desperately fighting his own dragonic instinct and his eyes swirled a browning gray flickering with a deep pink. "Wha?..." P'then blurted out feeling his dragon's unsurety of if he was supposed to try and catch the queen or not.

J'ren looked at Hauth, startled, when the Bronze suddenly bolted to his feet at the mirror's call. "What is it?" He asked, anxious.
Without a word, Hauth launched off, flying towards where the flight was. The bronzerider stared, then felt the reason for this. He automatically was drawn to Andy's Weyr, just as the others, his heart pounding. It was too soon!

Lunth started to move in more of a pattern, going from right to left continuously, the width growing each time she switched directions. Of course she iddn't do that for long, she jerked downward soon enough and plunged toward the ground purposely.

Rynkth twisted his body after her, furling his wings partially to his sides as he plumetted through the air, his mind lost to the frantic, insistant cries of E'ro, who wanted nothing to do with this.
Norkth rumbled loudly, and dove after Lunth, his large form dwarfing that of Rynkth as he fell alongside him. He flashed his fangs warningly at the Dusk, ready to do anything for his queen.

No longer holding back anymore the stonework took off. His overylarge wings assisting him in such a feat of catching up to the kings but he was dwarfed by them. He called out a challenge to the kings as he joined in. This was a chance he was taking challenging the kings who might just out fly him into humility or if he succeded in catching Lunth they might just forever despise him. No Rimth. Don't think such thoughts. P'then said encouragingly even though his eyes were wide with shock of his dragon's behaviour. The stonework decided to pace himself gliding as much as possible and using his lighter weight to as much advantage as he could. Eyes mixed with the serene and undying faith in Lunth and the gaze of pure determination to come out on top toward the kings.

Norkth turned his head towards Rimth, hissing and flashing his fangs again. No would-be-king was going to out do him, take Lunth from him. She was his to be caught. He growled a challenge to his fellow chasers, arching his neck as he dove, his hide bright with the thrill.
Rynkth ignored the lava completely, finding him a fool to try such antics. He rumbled politely to Rimth, welcoming him and his brave spirit to the Chase.

Rimth gave a friendly wink to Rynkth. He liked this king but Norkth... just broke his mental 'thoughts of calm' and made his eyes begin to flicker a warning yellow. He was going to show that king a thing or two. Even if he failed he'd make sure he showed the lava that Stoneworks had power of determination challenge. He swooped his wings a few beats powerfully and opposite to his anger he crooned out to the queen closing his wings momentarily to do an aerial performance for Lunth. He'd prove himself. He would!

Hauth gently drifted down after Lunth, broadcasting his love for her. His was genuine, and he just wanted for her to know it. He thought she was so beautiful and kind. His eyes swirled with his affection, wishing he could be with the Mirror, yet humbled just to be in her presence.

ooc// They're in free fall, so you know.
Norkth growled again, eyes swirling dangerously in red and orange. The nerve! Norkth, calm down. Don't![/b]E'vin butted in, pressing his way through the lava's outrage. Norkth ignored and forced him away, drawing closer to Rimth in warning.

Lunth pulled up and glided above the ground, tilted ever so slightly so that she would advance into the sky slowly. She took only a quick glance back and gave a growl to the ignorant Lava disturbing the Stonework. Her eyes lightly flickered with yellow, but went back to their former state.
Andy shot a glare to E'vin without a choice, stuck in the Mirror's emotions. She didn't think E'vin was rude or anything like that. It was her bondeds' opinion on Norkth.

Rimth heaved out heavily. He would not waste such valuable energy on Norkth nor would he allow himself to lose focus and be thrown into complete rage fighting with the king. He felt sincerely sorry for Lunth to have Norkth paying more attention to the competition over her. But a dragonic smile came on his face as he forced himself to bring in happier thoughts of the mirror and broadcasted them to her crooning his neck forward. He slowed a little and flew down a bit so he could avoid any attacks from the side. But he still looked on to Lunth. He'd fly till his wings fell off if he had too.
