Lunth huffed tiredly, looking over her eggs protectively, one being shielded by her front claws. The Mirror's hide threw off any suspicion, reflecting the rainbow of colours that were her eggs.
Are the Candidates going to hurt them? The Mirror asked, worriedly. She cared for each and every one of them, though the hidden one was fragile, and she didn't want it to be hurt in any way, shape or form.
Andy glanced over the small Clutch from a little ways away. Of course not. They are all just eager to Impress. You're giving them that chance, and they would never dream of hurting them. I promise.
Lunth gave a slight nod, watching as a few Candidates had already wandered over. Her Clutch had few eggs, but the colours were extravagant, which made up for the lack of.
The proud rider and weyrwoman continued to look over the eggs, estatic about the whole situation.
One egg was a black hue with light flecks of blue and orange, while another was an off-white with a purple bottom. There was one with all the different shades of greens, growing darker and it went down. Another was a dull grey with large bits of random oranges and browns, another a soft pink with orange and darker pink dots. One was shone as bright as the sun, it's full gold shell hard to look at from the glare that went in your eyes.
One was an ocean-like colour, with a mix of blues and greens. The last one in that bunch was a vibrant red with green flekcs along the top and bottom.
The specific eggs protected by the Queen was soft shades of elegant blues, soft white and light pink speckles on around the middle.
The orange, brown and gray egg started to shake ever so slightly, resulting in the beginning of the hatching.
Lunth rose her head, opening her maw high and proud. Calling Candidates of all kinds, the Hatching has begun! she rung loudly in all of their heads, lowering her head and closing her muzzle.

((Oi, just a suggestion, but it helps if you keep track of the hatchling within the first post. -nods- Like here. I could do it for you, if you like....^^)) Sasha had been dreaming. Asleep, with her fair curled up next to her, she had been taking a nap. LAtely her life had been filled to the brim, and her body was exhausted. At first the Queen's call was thought to be merely part of her dream. But when Tasyth, who had been sleeping next to Sasha's little bed, began to nose at the girl and gently prod her with a tail, Sasha turned over as she relaized the call was real. Right. So the Queen wanted Candidates....for the Hatching? All of a sudden a jolt of electricity ran through her as she threw herself off her bed. Saffron chittered angrily at having been disturbed. Sasha looked aorund for her robe. "Shard it!" she swore. It had been so long ago since she had recieved it, and she could hardly remember where it had been put. Moving to look elsewhere, she tripped over Deathaina, who suealed as she jumped from her rest. Hey!Sasha, ignoring the Waterdweller, frantically looked for the robe. It didn't help that her room of the Candidates' BArracks was a mengaerie. The rest of the flitters, having been awoken, flew about nervously, making it impossible for Sasha to see what was going on. The girl groaned slightly and mumbled threats to her critters under her breath- but caught it as she spotted the elusive Robe. Happily she made her way to it, carefully avoiding the multitude of fire lizards, Abuto, and Noka as she proceeded. Very soon afterwards the critters folowed her as she stepped nervously to the Sands, bowing hastily to Lunth as she kept her eyes trained upon the eggs with an utmost longing. ((I'll enter Filion and Jeston after someone else posts; I don't like to double post. >.< And to keep my posts short I prefer to do them seperate.))

((Okay, as they hatch, I will! ^^))
He had been waiting for this day. Filion was ready to go to the Sands. He and his siblings had so narrowly missed the last hatching, and had sat around the Weyr for a year, attending Candidate's lessons, Impressing flits, Bonding to Nokas...and Sasha had an Abuto too. A pretty one at that. Tasyth, was that her name? He couldn't quite remember, delirium that the Hatching had /finally/ come clouding his brain. Almost like a drunken man Filion donned the white garment over his other clothes, a silly grin on his face and anxiety in his eyes. He traightened with confidence -easy smile replacing the silly grin- and set off at a trot to the Hatching, Shalla and Flick winging behind him. The boy flinched at the sand as he stepped upon it- its searing heat went right through his boots and the padding riders had advised him to use. But he pushed on, bowing to the Queen and nodding to the Weyrwoman, hiding jitters extremely well as he started to form the male Candidate line. It was only after he got into position that Neran seemed to notice Filion had gone missing from the Barracks. Loyally the Noka sighed and went to follow the enthusiastic Candidate. Although why he needs a dragon when he's got me is a mystery.... muttered Neran.

Prisia snatched the white robe from her closet, slipping it on. She brushed off some dust and shook her head, relieving it of some dirt. She wasn't the cleanest person, considering she worked far more than anything else. She didn't exactly know why she was going to the hatching, since she was positive she wasn't going to Impress. But there was something about The Queen's voice inside her head that lured her to the scene.
Lunth glanced at her eggs again, anxiety building. Only because there were three Candidates so far, and nine eggs. What if one hatched, couldn't find her Mine, and betweened? She couldn't have that. She called out again, not being able to hold it in. Candidates, please proceed to the Sands for the Hatching!

Jeston had been one of the few Candidates who had wandered over from the start. But -shards!- he had no robe, and the Barracks seemed far away... And as tempermental and surly as he was, he wanted a dragon so bad, and would not run back to get it. For what if the one deigned for him hatched then? Slightly scared if the Weyrwoman would kick him away for not having the proper garments, he approached Lunth and Andy hesitantly, giving a short bob to Andy and an even quicker bow to the Mirror, turning red.

Andy grinned back to Jeston. "Thank you for coming," she greeted to the Candidates already there. She didn't mind if they weren't wearing their white robes. Her dragon was just happy to see people come. She, aswell, didn't want to ssee any of the dragonets between. That would absolutely scar Lunth.

Tara turned her head, smiling slightly. 'So, it has begun now.' She thought, and raised herself out of the chair where she'd been sitting and reading, Zarifa curled up on her lap. The otter chittered nervously, since she'd heard Lunth as well, and leapt onto the bed in a slight panic while her keeper put away her book and searched out the robe that had been given to her. She wrinkled her nose in disgust as she saw it: plain and white. After a moment's thought, she pulled off her bright yellow sundress and threw on the plain robe, placing a few beaded necklaces around her neck, and bracelets over her wrists to liven up the boring colour. She slipped on the padded sandels, and started towards the door. Zarifa followed hesitantly, so close she was like a second shadow.

Lunth watched as a few more candidates, wandered over. She relaxed some. Maybe none of the dragonets would between. There had to be some hope for them.

Wendy came onto the sands standing her shoulders back composing herself with dignity. Though she could just make a fool of herself if she didn't impress. The Dawn chittered to her before leaving, and joining the other flitts.

The black hue with light flecks of blue and orange-coloured egg started to shake, a small dragonet tumbling out of the side and knocking into one that had also shook, another tumbling out of the brown, orange and gray egg. One was a soft gray with bits of orange and brown along his spine and legs, while the other was a shade a little above navy blue with medium sized specks of bright yellow all over her body. The male was a Tabby, while the other a Lapis Lazuli.
They leaned against each other and slowly walked, tripping every so often and made the other fall down aswell. They both moved with each other to the female Candidates that were there so far.

((Erm...I just figured out I can't help. >.< Sorry. But Respected Memebers can't modify posts anymore, it seems....))
Sasha's breath caught. Both a Tabby and a new color, a Lapis Lazuli, were now on the sands and inspected female Candidates. Both, she realized, she had a chance of Impressing... They cute. observed Tasyth happily. The Abuto's belly was stretching taut with yet-to-be-born children. Very, agreed Sasha, eyes glued to the forms of each of them. Daethaina deigned not to comment, not impressed by Tasyth's silly speech.
Filion watched in awe, but paid more attention to the eggs. He had no hope at either of these two. Alhtough no one knew anyhting about the Lapis Lazuli, it was definitely heading towards the girls....
Jeston watched wistfully, butterflies filling his stomach. Doro came to rest on his shoulder chirping comforts to the boy, as Ved and Rage seemed to argue over something.

Tara stood a little straighter and smiled as she found her spot amung the girl ranks, seeing the Tabby and Lapis Lazuli walking and tripping towards the girls. Zarifa chittered qustioningly towards the dragonets, unsure if they meant harm r not, and what her keepers fasination in them was.
-----
Nira, clustered in the larger group filing excitedly into the stands, smiled as she saw the first hatchling, soon followed by the second. Please tell Lunth her clutch is looking lovely, Marv. She told the Mirror Abuto who glided above the heads of the crowd, waiting for Nira to sit, when she did, Marvanth settled herself onto the seat next to her, fauceted eyes turned on the hatching. She radiated a kind of joyful expectation.
Nira and say Lunth's Clutch look beautiful. Marvanth agree. They all lovely dragons. The abuto queen said to the dragon queen, flicking her ears forward. They both looked so innocent, making their way across the sands, holding tight to each other. Nira smiled again. I agree with you, dearest She placed a hand upon Marvanth's scale clad head.

Wendy now focused on everything around her and the approching dragonets. This was amazing, she was among the candidates. Yet this was no time to get all giddy, especially when there were two younguns on the sands and who knows seeing a girl squeeling with happiness might be their first sight and that could tramatize them. Since they understood nothing of a female squeeling with happiness.

"What's happened so far?" N'tall asked sitting down beside Nira. He was a little late from the search job he had to do. Kainth settled beside his mate, Tasyth, You think of children? Children be beautiful, like you. he inquired to the Tiger queen.
