Firelizard Hatching- Kita's Little Ones.

[Anyu]

Tasia stared at the eggs, having no idea what to do. Kita perched on her shoulder, crooning to the eggs. Without warning, several other flitts, including Miran, Gina, Dyor and Azra, all appeared, humming. The eggs were hatching!

Chapeth quickly called all the people to come to the eggs, as the firelizards were hatching. >>;

Cari stood nearby already, there in case a flitt was hurt and needed care. Hey, it was her job. Frankly, she was always there. She smiled as her queen and green landed on either of her shoulders, humming still.

G'mar wandered close, curious. Two hatchings in so short of time? It was always interesting to see the little fire lizards, so much like dragons, force their way through shells to freedom. He stood nearby, smiling slightly. He'd missed the last because of a conference with a couple of holders, concerned about the Noka-rider alliance, and the appearance of Mal.

[Anyu]

For some reason, Mal had wandered over to look just for fun. "Well, at least you have firelizards." She said dryly. Leath nudged her arm in warning, telling her to behave.

The first egg wobbled, the hatchling inside fighting to get free. It knocked into the neighboring egg, making it tumble to the ground.... and crack. A shrill cry came from within the egg, as the flitt tore free. It turned its head, scrambling free of the shell. It was a cream. She looked at the surrounding people, giving another cry, before launching up and flying straight for Sasha.

Tasia smiled, applauding, before handing a bowl of meat scraps to the girl. "Congratulations." She said happily.

The first egg finally split, allowing the blue-green firelizard to claw free. A moment later, it showed red dots along its back. It was a heliotrope. With a hungry shriek, it threw itself at Jeston, digging claws into his shoulder, demanding food.

A third egg cracked, running along the length. Within a short time, a Turquoise emerged. He looked at the people, then easily flew above their heads, alighting on G'mar's shoulder, chirping for food.

Tasia gave a bowl to Jeston, and another to G'mar with a smile. "Congratulations to you both." She said.

[Anyu]

Number four hatched, at first resembling a black. However, when it took off, the white underside could be seen. Albatross. She flew to Thistlen and crooned for food, her eyes whirling with hunger.

Unseen, a blue had hatched. He blinked, looking around almost lazily, then proceeded to walk over to Cari, looking up at her and crying for food.

Two more bowls and congratulations were given from Tasia, her smile stuck in place.

Cari blinked, bending down to the little blue. "You choose me? Very well, little one. Food it is, Ranic." She popped the meat into his open mouth, thrilled. Miran and Gina crooned greetings to the new flitt.

[Anyu]

Three eggs remained. They broke simultaneously(probably spelled wrong), revealing a green, sand, and ivory, and looked at eachother with confusion.

The green instantly went to Sinis, demanding food. She was hungry, and she wanted food now.

The ivory hesitated, then flew up to Thistlen with a curious cheep. Wouldn't this girl feed him?

The sand lifted up, doing lazy spirals, going higher and higher... and she dropped onto Sasha's shoulder, going limp and giving a croon of hunger. What a drama lizard!

[Frimblia]

Jeston marveled at the flitter, which was the same odd hue his older brother had managed to Impress. A scornful look crossed his face as he thought of Filion. Always the good boy; always making Jeston look bad...A slow smile started across the young man's face as he whispered a word to the Heliotrope under his breath malevolently.
"Rage..."

Sasha was both insanely happy and apprehensive at Impressing two more flits. She was, it seemed, now developing her own fair. One was a color she had seen often before, a delicate little cream, as beautiful as a daisy. A smile lit up the girl's fair features as she feed the Cream, "You'll be Shasta..."
Then she turned to the Sand, Shasta's hunger sated. She was amused; she already had a Sand, but this one was more streamlined and elegant, and definitely a female. Her happy personality made the girl grin. "Because of your bright attitude, we'll call you Sun."

[Anyu]

As the hatching concluded, Tasia gave a sad sigh. "There they go, Kita." She said, stroking the gold's head. The queen crooned, rubbing her head against the girl's cheek. "It doesn't matter. You will get to see them all the time, and you will have more clutches in your life." She stated, smiling at the new flitts and their large friends.

G'mar looked amusedly at the little fire lizard on his shoulder. From hyis other, Emma gave a chirp of welcome. He nodded to cari as a bowl was pressed into his hands, and gave the Turquoise chunk after chunk, pausing at times to shoo Emma away from the bowl.

"I'll call you...Timori." G'mar said, and smiled as both Emma and Timori crooned in agreement to this name.

[Anyu]

Cari gave a small smile. "Emma and another,huh? You are still behind, but if another firelizard chooses you, you will have caught up with us." She said, gesturing at the three flitts draped on her as reference to "us".

[Krisley]

"Yes, another. But I don't think I'll be coming near another hatching, if I can help it. Two are more than enough." G'mar replied, wincing as Emma nibbled his ear in protest, and Timori gave him a reproachful look.

[Amaranth]

"Whee," Thistlen said, mildly surprised by the two firelizards who were now cheeping at her. "Hello, then." She stared at the Albatross, and then announced, "Kai." Presumably this was to be the flitt's name. Then Thistlen stared at the Ivory. "Jobber." Again, presumably the name.
They all stared at each other.
Then Jobber cheeped again, curiously.
Food?
Oh. Right. Okay, then, here you go.
And Thistlen stuffed them both.

Cari looked at her three flitts. "I love the little darlings. How ever could two be enough?" She giggled when Ranic gave a drowsy cheep, whereas Gina rubbed her head against the trainer's cheek.

"When you're trying to speak with Lord Holders about important matters, one is enough. With two, it'll be twice the trouble." G'mar shrugged, and playfully tapped Emma's head to stop another nip. Timori chirped a little laugh.
