Kita's Flight

His love was tiring; he sensed it. Forcing aching wings to obey, he gave a single spurt of speed, drawing a flit length forward. Again an immense, caring, calming croon began to sweel from him, as he looked at Kita adoringly.

[Krisley]

The wild gave his wings another downward thrust, then saved what energy he had left. By now his wing arms were starting to ache with the exertion of the chase. He wobbled slightly, but kept his head up, crooning, eyes tightly fixed on Kita's shimmering beauty.

[Frimblia]

Longing welled up in Doro accompanied by an age-old passion and love. Since the beginning of Pern and its fire lizards this feeling had been felt, and he expressed it by changing his croon to a hum that rose and fell like a wild, wordless music...his strength was waning, he would have to drop out soon....

[Anyu]

Kita turned her head, looking at Doro. The hum was so beautiful and calming.... Yet, still. She had one more test. With a flick of her wings, she folded them, and dove.

[Krisley]

The wild tucked in his wings, opening his muzzle to sing a warbling note, random yet melodical, as he dove after her.

[Anyu]

That note, too, was beautiful. She fought the desire to stop and continued her dive, making it steeper and faster.

[Krisley]

The Wild bronze furled his wings completely, diving even more swiftly after her. The wind whistled in his ears, and threatened to throw open his wings, but he did not slow nor pay it any heed, focusing on Kita and his warbling song.

[Anyu]

Kita still dove, waiting until Avi got on and posted Doro. >>;
