Kita looked over her shoulder, thinking, before doing her last test. She froze, looped up and around so that she was behind them, hovering.

The wind snapped his wings open, and he made no move to close them, glding in a wide arch to return to Kita's hovering height. His wing arms screamed as they took his light weight again, and battled gravity and air.

That settled Kita's decision. She crooned to Doro, but flew closer to the wild. Her test had been to see which of them would still pursue her, even with their sore wings. The croon she had voiced said that she congratulated him on keeping up with her, and appreciated his struggle.
