"Ah, I see. Well, everyone here wanted to hear about the nokas. The weyrlings were interested in you, too." Cari explained, amused.
"It is. Where we are right now isn't so colorful, but there are some really beautiful places." Tasia said with a nod.
"It is a shame we only made contact with you recently. It seems the Noka could've easily helped us in hard times." K'dan decided.

They were? Traire asked, rather surprised they'd caused curiousity.
Could you show me? After, though, of course. She added the last bit quickly as she spied her fathers look.
Who said we never made contact? We've tried, but people though us those brutal beasts. We were once agood friends to humans. You'd have to ask the Uunik for the whole story. She knows it in better detail than I. Lecair's words were slightly hurt this time.

"Of course! Smart, adorable little ones like you; who wouldn't be interested?" Cari smiled, stroking Traire's head.
"Of course. We would love to show you." Tasia promised. We will show you everything pretty we know. Chapeth stated.
"Oh, I didn't mean to offend you!" K'dan said, dismayed. "I meant... Since you guys went underground! I thought humans didn't try to contact the Noka, even though you might've tried contacting us..."

Traire purred loudly, seeming to smile. Not too little anymore! She reminded her, slightly proud that soon she would be able to keep her promise, and fly the trainer across the Openlands.
Thank you, Tasia.Nali said happily, and mewed.
Rippling laughter met his words. The tone Lecair had used was not truly sad, but testing really. She couldn't help it any longer, she laughed. Speak to the Uunik about that, she can clarify why we hid. She said between breaths.

"Not too little anymore. You're getting so grown up." Cari agreed. Gina chirped in agreement as well, while Miran just cleaned her talons.
"It will be great having your company where we can show you the amazing things." Tasia said, getting all excited.
"Oh. Okay. Did I offend you?" K'dan asked, worried. Mournth peered at the noka curiously.

Traire purred even louder, ignoring her father's warning look this time.
It will. Forests? I heard there were such things as forests, from the Elders who came to the Openlands when they were young, to look for humans. Are there really such huge things? Nali asked, getting caught up in the excitment.
No, no. Of course not. Nothing of the sort. Lecair stated firmly, getting her giggles under control.

Cari looked at the noka that was obviously Aura's mate. "Is that your dad?" She asked.
"Oh, yes. Some trees can reach over a hundred feet tall. Also, there a many, many more large dragons at the Weyr." Tasia said, smiling at her excitement.
"Oh. Okay. I thought I had." K'dan rubbed his haed sheepishly.

Yes, that's father. He's not enjoying the sun too much. It's really wierd, for all of us. Traire answered, glancing at him.
Really? Nali asked in amazment, her eyes large disks in her head. She couldn't imagine anything so big.
Don't worry about it, Rider K'dan. Lecair said reassuringly. She hadn't wanted to upset him.

"Does he.... Like humans?" Cari questioned, wondering if it was safe to meet him or not.
Tasia nodded, her smile growing. "Yes. Really. The ocean, too, is larger than anything else on this planet. It stretched farther than the eye can see and beyond."
"Alright. If you say so." K'dan gave a nod.

He's cautious, that's all. He takes his time getting to knwo a new place before being himself. Traire explained.
I don't believe you. Nothing could be that big. Nali argued, looking at the water stretching off from the coast.
Lecair was silent for a time, just staring at the two of them. I apologize. It was wrong of me to play you so. She suddenly spoke up.

((Hehe. ^_^))
Cari hesitantly took a small step towards the male. "Hello... I'm Carissa, Cari." She said.
---------
"Ah, but it is." Tasia giggled slightly at the noka's disbelief.
---------
"Play us?" K'dan blinked, confused.

He stared at her for a moment, scrutinizing her face. I am Bane He answered.
Nali's eyes widened further, if that was even possible.
I teased, I played. I did not wish to make you upset.

"It is an honor, Lord Bane." Cari said, curtseying. Miran and Gina crooned their greetings as well. "The gold is Miran, the green Gina." She added.
"You will see many wonderous things up here." Tasia promised.
"Oh, don't worry about it." K'dan stated.

I am no lord. Bane said rather sternly, and stared even harder at her. Traire's gaze flickered between the two. Greeting, Miran, Gina, and Cari. He said grudgingly after a while.
Oh really? Like what? Nali asked, bringing her eyes back to Tasia.
If you wish. Lecair replied, and bowed again.
