Once again standing at the Weyrling training area, Nira waited patiently for the weyrlings. A pile of harness straps were settled next to her Mirror abuto, all in perfect condition.
“Today, you’ll be learning how to properly saddle your dragons and they’ll be learning wing exercises and proper flight.” She announced when most of the group had arrived. By now the dragonets’ shoulders were about equal to their riders’. She turned a stern gaze on those who looked both hopefully and disappointedly at the straps.
“You will not be flying today. At all.” She stated firmly, then gestured to the straps.
“One at a time, come up a chose some straps. You need to place them around your dragon like so.” As she said this, a green had obliging come, saddled up, though her rider was not with her. She reared up to show them the way the straps went.
“Thank you Foreth.” Nira said, and though Foreth bobbed her head in ‘your welcome;, she remained as a reference.
“If you have any questions on how, ask Foreth here, or take a look at her straps.” She watched them scramble for the pile, despite her telling them to go one at a time. When she was satisfied they had all the straps on properly, she started the exercises.
“All you dragonets must watch Foreth’s movements carefully, and try to copy them. When she’s content that you’ve warmed up enough, she’ll take you on a practice flight. I’m sure some of you have already tried this, hopefully without endangering you or you rider.” Her eyes narrowed threateningly, as Foreth stepped forward, demonstrating the flexing movements slowly at first, then more quicker.
Not long after, she had them gather on the shelf the soap sand and brushes had been under for the first lesson, and launch into the air. The green didn’t keep them aloft too long; taking gentle turns, dives, and swoops. She had them land, and Nira took charge again.
“Now, you’ll have to have your dragons practice these exercises and short flights each day to increase their endurance. Under no circumstances are you permitted to fly with your dragon. They are still much too young to bear your weight.” She glared at them one more time, and as Foreth took flight back to her weyr, she said. “That’s it for today. You may keep your current riding straps. Practice taking them on and off.”
Ooc// Feel free to use Foreth if you have any questions. She’s an NPC. I’ll mark you off as you finish.

Emilia picked up a harness and moved back, looking over Aurath. She glanced at Foreth and put the harness on her like the example, always checking to see if it felt comfortable for her bonded. The answer always being a 'yes'.
After applying it, she sent Aurath off to the shelf where the soap sand was before, nervously fidgeting as the Dawn took off. Emilia blinked. "You're really good at flying, Aurath," she muttered to her dragon in amazement. They had only practiced once or twice before. Aurath has some trouble on the turns, but got the hang of it pretty fast, landing with the Green and returning to her rider happily.

A'ron quickly put on the harness straps, standing boredly as Oeth then took off for a practice flight.
Oeth, never have flying before, had a hard time. He was always too high or too low, always doing too much of a turn and went away from the ground, or almost bumped into another dragon. And as soon as they landed, he moved directly over to his 'Mine to get out of the place.

Andy fiddled with a few straps on her Mirror, trying to tighten it for the Queen. "Better?" she asked, looking up at Lunth's face.
The Mirror nodded and left her rider, moving onto the shelf and taking off. She had practiced a lot, and almost glided around perfectly after the Green. She landed softly and walked proudly over to her 'Mine with a small draconic grin.

J'ren picked up a harness, turning to Hauth. "Harnesses? Interesting.... Come on, then. Move your wing." He said as he tried to get the harness on the dragonet.
---------
Arisa blinked, surprised at how she had easily figured out the harness. "Done." She said softly. Pellith swiveled his head to look at the harness, giving a small croon of congratulations to his mine.
---------
Tasia slipped the harness on the green with some difficulty, but she eventually got it by examing the larger green already harnessed. "There! Finally." She breathed a sigh of relief, as Chapeth shifted her wings. It itches. She complained.
---------
Sowrith watched T'ryk choose a harness, then attempted to help him get it on. Why do we need these? I wouldn't drop you. He insisted. "I know, Sowrith. We use them anyways, though." T'yrk sighed.
---------
K'dan took the lazy way. Mournth went and got a harness, and then the weyrling started putting it on the black. "This is harder than I thought..." K'dan frowned, tugging a strap into position. Mournth made a slight noise of displeasure.

Mine! I don't want to- "You're going to." But I am scared to- "NOW, KELTH." Yes! Yes! After having his straps fastened on, Kelth was a little uneasy about flight, but... some... persuasion... by his rider made him try it. He was surprisingly good at flying, and only had trouble with landing- he skidded.
"Irith, please don't- do that... Barrel rolls are- dangerous..." WHEE! "IRITH!" Irith, ever the intelligent, had decided to try aerial tricks. "STOP THAT!" TURQUOISE, STOP THAT THIS INSTANT! Foreth bellowed. Irith landed and hid behind His. It didn't work.

Tightening the straps on the Stonework dragonet P'then slapped its hide affectionatley, "Are you ready to fly buddy?" Very uncomfortable these straps are. Do dragonriders not trust us enough to protect you? "Apparently not. Now lets see you show off your wings!" The dragonet's legs bent and the tiny muscles that had yet still to be worked on protruded from his joints. Fragile wings extended and they looked obtusely large for a dragonet his size, but what did P'then care? All the better for flying. Taking a few swoops of his wings he attempted to take off but couldn't with his wings scrapping against ground. The dragonet's deep voice called out in pain and protest. It hurts! he whimpered.

ooc// They drop from the shelf, there'are little steps, since they're not strong enough for a ground take-off.

Foreth came over raising up Rimth's wings and helping him take off. My wings still hurt. the stonework moaned as he came back down. "You did good my friend." P'then assured him shocked by Rimth's perstistance even after he'd hurt his wings.

Dreiya carefully put the straps on Deamyth. You can tighten them DreiyaMine', it wouldn't do for you to fall out in between Deamyth commented. So Dreiya began to tighten it up as if her dragon ordered her too. The White took off following Foreth and Nira's instructions before she did some aerials in which she was quite proud off being able to turn on a tail tip unlike the rest of the dragons.

E'ro listened carefully, and went to get the straps with the others, testing out a few different ones untill he found the right sizes. Rynkth waited patiently while he saddle him carefully, stepping back to view his work. He compared Foreths to Rynkths, and decided they looked very similar. Rynkth followed the greens movements carefully, and followed her up to the shelf. He was wobbly in the air, with his wings too large for his body. His turns were slightly sloppy, though he gave it his all, and both him and E'ro were happy as they departed.

E'vin listened carefully, and grabbed sized straps quickly, checking Foreth's often to make sure he was putting them on correctly. He tightened them a bit, then Norkth did the wing exercises and followed Foreth to the shelf. His flight was easy, altough he falted slightly in the landing as he figured out to land properly. They left with smiles, and E'vin memorizing the straps position and tightness.

It seemed that Lyoina was going to be late for everything out of spite. Not that Joceth minded, she got to sleep. When they appeared, they watched the others, and then went to get the straps. Lyoina and Joceth never spoke with their mouths to one another, just their minds. When the Ice had gotten comfortable with the straps, she dropped off the steps, and began to work out.

Bawrtuth bounded out of the shadows where he and W'lin had been watching. They liked doing everything after other people. They did exactly what was asked, although W'lin did mess up the harness... Then Bawrtuth took off from the ledge.

Eedath listened attentively, but Kaila dozed off. Mine, hanress! Now! said the Cream eagerly,. eyes whirling in excitement. "Huh?" Kaila said, awking and blinking. The dragon sighed, shaking her head somewhat. Straps; harness, fly. If drgaons could roll eyes, Eedath would have at how Kaila jumped up with excitement. "Flying?!?" Quickly straps were assembled with -for once- utmost care, and the youngest Wyerling turned to her dragon. Feels okay? The pink-white-and-yellow dragon nodded eagerly, flexing waings slowly as she allowed Kaila to mount. Their short flight was really just a glide with a dip at the end, which they repeated twice, with small turns and gentle wingbeats. At the end, Kaila soap-sanded Eedath, but missed a couple spot on her rump. Then the dragon was oiled with the same amount of rush and spot-missing.
